The harder you try the harder it gets!

I love this quote! This is exactly how I feel. Have you ever tried soooo hard and wanted something so bad!? But every time you try it just gets harder!? Why is that?
Our family has had our fair share of struggles for sure, I have enough to share with all of you! I jokingly say that our family is cursed with bad luck...but I know every family has struggles and we are not unique in that way, we all have different struggles some bigger than others. I know we have struggles and afflictions to help us grow and learn and to help others when they are struggling so we know the best way to help them!
Derrick has been on the job hunt for quite some time, while being employed but not fully satisfied with the job he had before we moved. It has been mentally and physically exhausting for the whole family! We are learning lots about patience and about Gods Timing! Money has always been hard to come by for us, financial burdens are tough, Having just enough to get by, it's a stressful way to live! If you have never experienced financial hardship count your blessings! Applying for countless jobs staying up late to apply for jobs going to interviews that only return in "we have decided to move forward with other candidates, but you are very talented"..... It really effects you and your confidence each time, everyone has their advice and speculation as to why it didn't work out and "oh something will work out soon" and Conversations usually consist of talking about employment and how "it's going" What if it doesn't work out...what if we are meant to struggle...?
Life isn't easy or fair, some things just don't make any sense. We just need to keep trying, keep going anything worth having is hard to get! Life is full of challenges it is a test after all right!? So we move forward with hope and faith focus on eternal truths and keep an eternal perspective because really what job you have and how much money you made isn't what matters most, what matters most is that you tried your best you did all you could while staying faithful. Life wasn't easy for Jesus Christ he was born in a manger his dad was a carpenter he wasn't living in some castle, he was ridiculed he had so many hardships he suffered for US bleeding from every pore! Joseph Smith was tared and feathered he was bullied he was put in prison in horrible conditions always being chased out of town after town and being martyered. For the early pioneers crossing the plains they suffered many afflictions like hunger, freezing, exhaustion, many sicknesses and so much more, but they were also blessed with so many miracles that we all learn from today giving strength to our testimonies that our God is a God of miracles! Life isn't meant to be easy all the time, we need to find joy and happiness through our afflictions and trials. I think sometimes we need to remember that I know I do!
